I Think My car is now fixed

Apparently when they originally replaced the fuel pump a few weeks ago they overlooked replacing some other part with it. So they did that today for free. I hope this FINALLY fixed things. Cross your fingers - as I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing about my car. I know I am. Now I'm off to go play RockBand with some friends. It's just too much fun!!

My car HATES me!

Here I am all week long driving in my car thinking it's finally fixed. And tonight after work - it won't start, at all. My mechanic works across the street from me (convenient) and checked it out & doesn't know. so I gave him my keys & he'll get it pushed across the street & check it out in the morning. Honestly...what do you do with a car that has it out for you?

My Week in Review

I've had lots of different things going on - and there is no order to update everyone on what's been going on. So here goes:
1. My mechanic is awesome! He replaced the ignition switch for me labor free- only charged me for the part. My car is working & so far no more problems.
2. Got my old job position back - so happy. But lots of changes coming so it'll be interesting. And I get to move to a new cubi by a big window - very excited!
3. Friday night ended up on an impromptu "double date" at the ER. In a nutshell my friend Denny tore his rotator cuff playing broomball (broom hockey on ice) and my friend Adam & I picked him & our friend Emalee up & took him to the ER. Weird as it sounds it was kind of fun. Denny's doing ok - but he may need surgery though.
4. I made Cafe Rio style salad & had a bunch of friends over for dinner. It was so good - even better than Cafe Rio. It was a lot of fun.

Life is good & I'm happy!

My Car (part deux)

So I was driving my car the other day & guess what: it died on me, again. At first I was panicked, thinking "It's the timing belt, it broke. The day before I have it scheduled to be changed - great." After about 5 minutes with my hazard lights on & annoyed drivers having to switch to the other lane my car miraculously starts up - just as I'm on the phone with my mechanic and he's asking if he needs to send a tow truck. Small blessing amidst this annoying problem. So yesterday while they're changing the timing belt one of the mechanics is doing some research on my vehicle. And guess what? There is a recall on the ignition switch. This has been the primary reason why my car keeps turning itself off. So now I've contacted the local Honda dealer & set an appt & hopefully they will be able to fix it at no cost to me. Cross your fingers.

....Well, the Honda dealership stated that my car does NOT have the recall on the ignition switch - so needless to say - they won't be fixing it. So....I'm just hoping my car doesn't act out on me for awhile. Let's hope.
